Pregnancy Symptoms
There is not hard, fast set of rules regarding pregnancy symptoms. However, when it comes to pregnancy symptoms, there are in fact some symptoms that are pretty commonplace and that do occur more often than not. Through this article, you will be provided with a brief overview of some of the pregnancy symptoms that are most common.
One of the first is the absence of the woman's menses. Then there are some basic such as fatigue and good, ole morning sickness. This can be nausea or it can be vomiting or it can never rear its ugly, despised heard (and to the ones who smirk I never had morning sickness there are pregnant women everywhere who want to strangle you.). Dizziness, fainting, nosebleeds and sharp, intermittent pain in the lower abdomen just above the pubis, can sometimes indicate that a woman is pregnant.
However, the fun really starts when the hormones kick in as far as pregnancy symptoms are concerned. Mood swings, crying jags for no reason, of course weight gain or, in the very beginning, some weight loss due to morning sickness and those famous food cravings and food aversions. Some women who were devout coffee drinkers may suddenly be unable to smell coffee and wind up hugging the porcelain. It is a crazy time. A pregnant woman may complain of being forgetful or being unable to focus. She may lose things like her keys and forget where she put her purse, in other words, scatterbrained.
However, the upside is that the morning sickness usually only lasts through the first trimester as far as pregnancy symptoms are concerned. After that, the symptoms change to increased energy and usually a glowing complexion. There may be some weight gain and her mood will usually improve, especially when she feels the first flutters of life around the fourth month.
If you do find that you have any questions about pregnancy symptoms, it is important for you to meet with your doctor. Your doctor can aid you in understanding the different pregnancy symptoms. In addition, your doctor may have some suggestions as to how you can reign in some of the more unpleasant pregnancy symptoms.
If the pregnancy symptoms become severe, it is vitally important that you pay a visit to your doctor immediately. The aggravation of pregnancy symptoms may be a sign that something more serious is going on in regard to your pregnancy. Early intervention by a doctor when something starts to go awry in a pregnancy can make all of the difference.
