Do body flex exercise workout tapes really work? Wouldn't it be nice if it did? Just sit down, breathe yourself skinny, and watch the pigs fly by. No, they don't work, I'm sorry to say. You can't sit on your rear end and eat junk food all day while watching a video of other people working out and lose weight. It doesn't work that way. You can't get skinny by observation. If you could get skinny by breathing, don't you think we'd all be anorexic looking by now, just a little bit?
Sorry to disappoint you, but it's not going to happen. In order to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you eat, and there are 3, 500 calories in a pound. If you eat 2000 calories a day, that's 5,500 calories you'd have to burn every day to lose a pound a day. And guess what, folks? That's not going to happen either. You'd kill yourself trying to burn that many calories. The best way to go about losing the weight you've taken years to accumulate, is to take awhile to lose it.
They say about a pound a week is healthy, so plan on doing exercise that will burn about 500 calories a day, every day. Walking is a good way to burn calories, and it'll burn a few hundred every hour or so that you do it. Make it a point to walk for a few hours every day, maybe with the kids, the dog, the cat, or even just by yourself, and the weight will come off- for free, even!
If you want to lose weight, you need a sensible eating plan that's low calorie, high nutrient, low fat, and low sugar. Go for vegetables, they're a great way to fill up- you can eat as much of them as you want, and not gain weight- and drink lots of water. Lean cuts of meat, rather than the high fat content fried ones. Fish and baked chicken are great foods to eat, and they'll help you in your weight loss quest, too. It's always best to talk to your doctor about what's going to work for you; he or she can always help you come up with a workout plan and a diet that's going to really pull off the pounds for you, and fit into your lifestyle.
